• Dutch Buggy Champs 2013

  • This weekend (10.05 - 12.05.2013) we had our second race the Dutch Championship Buggy in Purmerend.

Saturday the day starts with rain so we had to find a setup for these conditions. Training went very well , diff set up was 2-2- grease in the back.Soft shocks and springs.Later that day rain stopped and the track became dry, but the forcast was rain on sunday morning so we kept it this way.

First qualy on sunday was good, eleven rounds . Second qualy we put on other tires this was to much, to much grip so bad result, track was already dry.Third and last qualy, Jordy was fast and on the first spot, but the electric switch broke so no result.

Half final starting from place 2 behind cousin Jeffrey Halsema, both were to fast for the rest so the final was there. Jordy again from place 2 , but he took the lead in the first round , car was super, 5k in front diff ,the rest was the same.

Heavy oil in shocks and a 3mm stabie in front.Jordy took a gap on number 2 Jeffrey, and drove to the win in perfect driving style, with 10 min fuel stops.

Car was so easy to drive, no problem at all. Jordy and TeamC , the perfect match!!!

  • 24h race

The team went to the challenge and equipped your TT01 chassis handout with a  ECU 1 brushed speed controller from Absima. Through their constant and defensive driving the boys were largely spared of defects and only had about 8 hours to make an engine change.

After 24 hours of run time they crossed the line on a excellent 2nd place of 18 teams, with 20 laps behind at No. 1 and 2 lap lead over 3rd place. They covered a total of 2890 rounds converted this are incredible 924.8km.

Congratulations to the team and thank you to Absima for support.

  • Dutch Buggy Champs 2013

  • On 13.04 - 14.04.2013 was the first Dutch Buggy champs race in Helmond. Training on saturday went very well, fast rounds car very stable.
On Sunday we had three rounds of qualifications. Jordy drove TQ in round 1 but rain came down and it was hard to find the grip on the slippery astro track.
After three round Jordy ended at the second place behind Kay Koops, he was just three seconds quicker.

Semi final was very good , Jordy and Jeffrey drove an easy race en Jordy ended at the first spot.

The A final was differend. All drivers wanted to show what they could, so at the first corner lot’s of drivers hit each other and Jordy always was involved.
During the a final Jordy was hit several times , so a third place was the best he could get. After all we had a very nice race weekend and happy with the result.
Everybody have seen what potential this car can have, it’s so easy to drive.

Next race is in Purmerend on our home track, let’s hope we can do it a little bit better then!!

  • Zac strikes again!

  • Team C and Zacarias Villalba wins Spanish 2WD nationals Rd1.

The first round of the Spanish 2WD electric buggy Championship took place on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of February in the Andalusian town of Jerez, in southern Spain. It is the second consecutive year that the club CDRC Jerez hosts a national championship and they put on a great effort to prepare the track from all rain and bad weather the week leading up to the event.

Yet again the series saw a great attendance with drivers from every corner of the country. Electric racing is getting pretty popular in Spain, and many drivers from nitro classes are trying their luck in the electric classes. One of them is current 1/8th world champion Robert Batlle who raced his first ever electric race in Jerez.

On Saturday’s practice local driver Antonio Notario showed that he would be one of the contenders for the win. Last year’s winner in Jerez, Team C driver Zacarias also had a good pace. Robert Batlle had the speed but was lacking consistency and Carlos Pineda was struggling with a new-built car in the first rounds of practice. The four drivers stood out from the rest.

On Sunday all five rounds of qualifying and triple finals were held. Team C driver Zacarias Villalba took the first two rounds of qualifying while local driver Antonio took the third. Driver Carlos Pineda got his speed up in the last two rounds and won them. It came down to the fastest time to determine the TQ, in favor of Villalba by 8 second. As qualifying went on the track rutted up badly and drivers had to find new lines in the dirt/clays sections. The extremely low-traction astro-turf didn’t make thing easier for the drivers.

The crowd gathered around the track witnessed epic battles in all three A-finals. Notario took A1, while Villalba and Pineda took A2 and A3 respectively. All three drivers also had a second position, so yet again it all came down to the fastest time to crown de the winner. Villalba won by 8 tenths over Notario, with Pineda in third. Robert Batlle was fourth in his electric debut.

In total there were thre Team C cars in the A-main, and the winner of the B-main was also Team C driver. Almost 25% of the field were Team C cars, which proves the huge success the brand is having in Spain at the moment.

  • Villalba podium finish

  • New team driver Zacarias Villalba from Spain – First race, first podium finish.

Anyway it`s a pleasure for us, to welcome such a good driver like “Zac” in our team. But no one dreamed about such a good result, only one week after he had signed the contract.
First race was in Almeria on the annual race of Hobbyndalo with 40 drivers lining out on the grid in 2WD Buggy class. Some really good 1/8 drivers were present at the event including several Spanish Championship podium finisher.

Zac raced his “T2evo” on the newly built astro-turf track. All over he finished on second place with his rear engine compare to all the mid-motor buggies from the other drivers. Now think about, what Zac is able to do with our brand new “TM2” mid-motor buggy which will arrive in January!!!
We are sure, that 2013 will be great season for Team C Spain!

Thanks also to Hobby-Delgado, our Spanish distributor for promoting and sponsoring.
